Opening another Savings/Checking Acct??

Recently, my wife and I came into a little money and have been throwing around the idea of opening another checking/savings account with Citibank. I saw that they have $200 bonus for opening an account and was wondering if anyone has any experience with Citibank and/or this offer?

I did a bazillion bank offers last year, as part of my $20 challenge, including a similar offer from Citibank. For all of these offers, I recommend saving the offer, keeping track of when you opened it and when you expect the bonus to hit, and following up if you don't receive it in a timely manner. I'd have to look back at my blog, but I think I got in the neighborhood of $700 or so from this last year.

Keep in mind that the bonus counts as interest income; you'll get a statement for your taxes the following January.

If you're interested in similar offers, I have a $50 offer from Chase I can send you (they always pay timely, then offer you more bonuses for opening a savings account), and I think BOA has a bonus if you're referred by an account holder, so I could give you information on that as well. Just let me know.
